Time travel has been a staple of the pseudo-science-fiction film genre for decades. Whether the characters are heading back to the future, re-living the same day over and over, or are even pre-teens going on 30-something, the way that filmmakers have explored time travel in so many ways is really something to behold.

We’re inviting participants to enter our contest for a chance to win $1,000 just for binge-watching 5 iconic time travel movies and sharing their insights on the projects. So, if you’re a true film critic at heart or just want some extra funds to do some real-life traveling of your own, enter for your chance to win!

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for an old soul to take a trip down memory and embark on a journey to yesteryear. And then immediately hop into a DeLoreon with Doc Brown and see what the future holds — let’s just hope there are fewer Terminators when we actually get to the future!

Ideally, you’re someone who not only loves movies but also has a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. As part of this contest, the winner will be asked to watch 5 time-travel movies and report on specific elements of each film. For example, we’ll ask the winner what time periods the movies were set in, how realistic they feel the film’s depiction of the future is, and what lessons can be learned from them. The winner will get separate forms for each movie to fill out while they’re watching them.

Participants must be 65 years of age or older to enter and be eligible to win.

Now, if you don’t quite fit that bill but you know someone who does, nominate them! You may enter someone else in the contest, but all information that’s filled out must be theirs.

The ideal applicant will:

• Have an appreciation for different time periods (whether they be in the past or future).
• Be interested in the art of filmmaking, including storytelling, writing, cinematography, and everything else that comes with it.
• Embrace their sense of adventure to really lose themselves in the stories being told.
• The ability to pick up on the messages that movies are sending through their storytelling.

Applicants Must Be:

• 65 years of age or older; and
• A U.S. citizen or permanent resident

What The Contest Entails

As part of this contest, you’ll need to watch 5 iconic time travel movies and share your insights by Friday, November 8th. These films span a variety of genres and explore the fascinating concept of time travel in unique ways.

The 5 movies you’ll need to watch are:

1. Back to the Future (1985)
2. The Terminator (1984)
3. Groundhog Day (1993)
4. Doctor Strange (2016)
5. Interstellar (2014)

You’ll receive a form to fill out on each movie individually to tell us all about your experience, what you learned, and what the films are all about.

How To Enter

To enter the contest, you MUST COMPLETELY FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW.

You’ll be asked to tell us about yourself, why you deserve to be the winner, and answer a few life insurance-related questions. You must also fill out the required fields, like your name and email, so that we can notify you if you win.

Any contestants who do not complete the entry form will not have an official entry in the contest.

The deadline for contest entries is Friday, October 4th. Contestants must submit their applications by that date to be considered. After this date, no further entries will be permitted.

What You’ll Get

The winner will be chosen by Coventry Direct and contacted by Friday, October 11th. The winner will receive a $1,000 payment.

Contest Terms and Conditions

The rules of the competition and the prize for the winner are as follows:

1. The promoter of this competition is Coventry Direct, whose principal office is located at 7111 Valley Green Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
2. Employees of Coventry Direct, their family members, or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
3. Persons must be at least 65 years old in order to win the contest.
4. Only residents of the United States are eligible to participate.
5. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
6. There is NO ENTRY FEE AND NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS COMPETITION. Any purchase or consideration otherwise given by entrants will not improve one’s chances of winning.
7. Entry forms and details of how to enter are available via https://www.coventrydirect.com/blog/time-travel-movie-contest/. Individuals may also enter to win by filling out the form on this page. Upon clicking the participation link, entrants will be asked to provide their name and contact information so that Coventry Direct can notify the winner.
8. Entries must be received by Friday, October 4. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
9. Only one winner will be selected from the entire pool of eligible entries. Coventry Direct will choose the winner.
10. The winner will be notified by email and/or letter by Friday, October 11. If the winner cannot be contacted, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
11. We will attempt to reach out to up to 3 winners. If the top 3 winners cannot be contacted, we reserve the right to terminate the contest.
12. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name, image, and video in any publicity material.
13. Coventry Direct’s decision with respect to all matters to do with the competition will be final.
